Baluchistan Wheels Limited announced unaudited consolidated quarter and half year earnings results ended December 31, 2017. For the quarter, the company’s net turnover was PKR 440,893,000 as compared to PKR 350,994,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was PKR 19,151,000 as compared to PKR 30,746,000 a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 17,299,000 as compared to PKR 24,646,000 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share was PKR 1.30 as compared to PKR 1.85 a year ago.
For the six months, the company’s net turnover was PKR 855,782,000 as compared to PKR 673,484,000 a year ago. Profit before tax was PKR 56,738,000 as compared to PKR 63,514,000 a year ago. Profit after taxation was PKR 43,773,000 as compared to PKR 47,256,000 a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share was PKR 3.28 as compared to PKR 3.54 a year ago.
Baluchistan Wheels Limited is a Pakistan-based company, which is focused on manufacturing of automotive wheels. The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of automotive wheel rims for trucks, buses, tractors, cars, and mini-commercial vehicles. It has the capability to manufacture a diverse range of wheels for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural tractors, and 4x4 vehicles. Its products include disc wheel for cars; disc wheel for commercial; tractor rear disc wheel; and tractor front disc wheel. It has developed tubeless wheels sized 8.25 x 22.5 for trucks and 6.0x17.5 for minibuses and trucks. It is also exporting wheels to countries, including Germany, England, Ireland, Italy, Turkey, South America, Thailand, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Dubai, Sri-Lanka, and Bangladesh. It has installed a high-tech disc spinning machine, which has the capacity to produce disc of commercial vehicle wheels.
