Anritsu Corporation Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Nine Months Ended December 31, 2015

Anritsu Corporation reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2015. For the quarter, the company reported revenue was ¥23,177 million against ¥23,839 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was ¥1,939 million against ¥2,655 million for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was ¥1,900 million against ¥2,992 million for the same period a year ago. Profit was ¥1,559 million against ¥2,075 million for the same period a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥1,554 million against ¥2,074 million for the same period a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were ¥11.32 against ¥14.79 for the same period a year ago.
For the nine months, the company reported revenue was ¥72,197 million against ¥71,844 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was ¥5,176 million against ¥7,280 million for the same period a year ago. Profit before tax was ¥5,112 million against ¥8,003 million for the same period a year ago. Profit was ¥3,921 million against ¥5,567 million for the same period a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was ¥3,911 million against ¥5,553 million for the same period a year ago. Diluted earnings per share were ¥28.48 against ¥39.08 for the same period a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was ¥6,575 million against ¥5,569 for the same period a year ago. The cash increase was mainly due to decrease of trade and other receivables and recording profit before tax. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was ¥6,199 million against ¥3,934 million for the same period a year ago.

The Measurement Equipment segment is engaged in the provision of measurement equipment for digital communications and Internet protocol (IP) networks, optical communications and mobile communications, general-purpose measurement equipment for radio frequency (RF), microwave bands and millimeter wavebands, as well as service assurance. The Products, Quality and Assurance (PQA) segment is engaged in the provision of automated weight sorters, automated electronic measurement equipment, foreign substance detectors, as well as integrated quality management and control systems. The Company is also engaged in the provision of information communication, related devices, logistics and welfare services, the leasing of real estate, the manufacture of components, as well as the human resources (HR) and accounting related clerical business.
