The beginning of the book deals briefly with the history of Mistra and the architecture of the Monastery's katholikon. There follows a detailed description along with a stylistic analysis

of the wall paintings of the Monastery, dating at the 15th century. Lastly, conclusions regarding both the artists and the position of the Pantanassa Monastery within the framework of Byzantine art during the Palaeologan period are presented.
