ASX: AJX ASX/MEDIA RELEASE 13th January 2012 ALEXIUM INTERNATIONAL COMMENCES QUOTATION ON THE OTCQX TICKER SYMBOL: OTC QX: AXXIY Perth, WA and Greer, South Carolina, Alexium International Group Limited (Alexium) (ASX:AJX, AX:AJX, OTC QX:AXXIY) is pleased to announce that today it has commenced trading on the OTC markets prestigious tier, OTCQX International.

The quotation is now active on the OTCQX website and can be found by searching under Alexium code of AXXIY. This marks a significant achievement in Alexium's on-going development and growth of the company.
Alexium's quotation on the OTCQX will increase awareness of the company through over the counter trading (OTC) allowing US investors to participate in the future success of the Company as well as facilitating access to the US capital markets.
The OTCQX allows for the trading of American Depository Receipts (ADRs) where by foreign companies can have their shares traded in the US market. Real time quotations for investors as well as disclosure and financial information relating to Alexium can be found on the OTC markets website.
Alexium shares will be quoted via American Depositary Receipts (ADR) on a 1 for 40 basis with Merriman Capital Inc. as Principal American Liaison (PAL) and Bank of New York Mellon as the ADR sponsor.

Alexium recently announced that it has signed a new Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, Airbase Technologies Division, Tyndall AFB, FL to continue to develop and commercialize the patented and award winning Reactive Surface Treatment (RST) technology.
Specifically, this collaboration is a joint effort that will explore the RST technology on a variety of materials, integrate nanoparticles developed by the Air Force in various RST treatment applications, and demonstrate a commercially feasible and scalable production process.
