Advanced Health Limited provided earnings guidance for the six months ended December 31, 2016. For the period, the company expects to report a net loss after taxation attributable to the parent as per the unaudited financial results for the six months ended 31 December 2016, of ZAR 23.311 million compared to a profit of ZAR 0.925 million for the comparative period ended 31 December 2015. The company expects a loss per share and a headline loss per share of 10.52 and 10.52 cents respectively for the six months ended 31 December 2016 compared to earnings per share and headline earnings per share of 0.42 and 0.51 cents for the six months ended 31 December 2015. The decrease in earnings is planned and in accordance with the company rolling out its known strategy to become the leading provider of day hospitals in South Africa and Australia. In South Africa, the group now consists of ten operational day hospitals. The last one of these became operational in eMalahleni towards the end of January 2017.
