Acron Group is planning to increase its total nitrogen, phosphorous, potash (NPK) fertilizers production capacity by 2019. The producer said it will increase its total NPK production capacity by 36% to 5,000 tonnes/day at its Veliky Novgorod plant, with a capital expenditure (capex) of RUB 700 million ($12 million) work is expected in third quarter of 2019. Annual production of complex mineral fertilizers at the site is planned to grow by more than 450,000 tonnes and is expected to surpass 1.7m tonnes, from 1.2m tonnes currently. The company said that as part of the project, the water cycle VOTS-12 will be modernised, new high-tech Solex equipment and a cooling unit for the finished product installed, as well as four molds manufactured by its own repair and mechanical plant. Among the priorities of 2018 is the installation of new heat exchangers for cooling the ammonia water and nitric acid on both units of the plant.
