(NASDAQ: AMAC) a provider of healthcare communication services and advanced telehealth monitoring technologies, today announced the inception of a Medical Advisory Board and the appointment of Joseph F. Renzulli, II, MD, FACS, as the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board.

The AMAC Medical Advisory Board will provide insights that will contribute to AMAC's continuous effort to innovate and expand the use of technology solutions that meet patient, hospital, and pharmaceutical industry needs and improve patient care, comfort, and quality of life. As Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Renzulli will be responsible for identifying and recruiting a team of leading medical experts to serve on the Medical Advisory Board. Once in place, the Medical Advisory Board members will monitor trends in healthcare delivery where technology driven communication solutions can transform individual patient care, enhance clinical trial recruitment and subject retention, and ensure patient centric contact solutions that have a positive impact on outcomes. Additionally, the Medical Advisory Board will provide guidance to AMAC management on how to respond to changes in patient care protocols and new healthcare-related legislation including how to best serve newly formed accountable care organizations.

Dr. Renzulli is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. He is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, diplomat to the American Board of Urology and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Renzulli received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Boston University. He completed his residency in general and urological surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. He has specialty training in general urology with a specific interest in urologic oncology, robotic, and laparoscopic surgery. He has performed over 400 robotic surgeries and was the co-founder of the robotic surgery program at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
