Xceedium®, Inc., the premier provider of privileged identity management for hybrid-cloud environments, today announced that the latest version of its Xsuite platform includes new high assurance capabilities. Xsuite now supports AWS CloudHSM and a range of SafeNet Luna Hardware Security Module (HSM) options. This extends Xsuite's existing high assurance feature set, which includes support for strong, multi-factor authentication systems and PIV/CAC smartcards. These capabilities enable highly regulated customers to address important security mandates requiring the protection of critical systems and data against privileged user risks and insider threats.

"The growing security risk associated with privileged insiders is driving increased auditor scrutiny and focusing customer attention on privileged identity management systems," noted Xceedium CEO, Glenn C. Hazard. "Xsuite is a next generation privileged identity management platform enabling customers to protect systems across hybrid cloud environments. Our government customers and highly regulated commercial institutions require high-assurance solutions and the majority of these customers already use SafeNet HSMs."

Xsuite is available in multiple appliance options including a hardware appliance, an OVF-based virtual appliance that runs on VMware vSphere®, and an Amazon Machine Instance (AMI)-based appliance that runs on AWS EC2. With this release, all Xsuite appliances now support SafeNet Luna HSMs. The Xsuite model X206P hardware appliance can be ordered with an integrated SafeNet Luna PCI-E based HSM card, or leverage a shared SafeNet Luna SA HSM. Xsuite OVF- and AMI-based virtual appliances support both the SafeNet LUNA SA HSM and the AWS CloudHSM service. This new option enables Xceedium Xsuite customers to store their cryptographic keys in a FIPS 140-2 Level 3-validated environment, providing high-assurance protection for their critical assets.
