Shanon Schnell traveled with her husband and daughter from a neighboring town to help the Bowling Green community. She said she felt lucky the tornado did not touch down on their home.

"Usually here we know that you'll have hail and a warning sign that tornado is coming. And this was a shock to everybody that there wasn't any of that. It was dead calm, sirens, and then the tornado was there and on top of you."

In Mayfield, workers used heavy machinery to move debris while rescuers continued their search.
