The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank, on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The Secretary-General welcomed the deep cooperation between the World Bank and the United Nations on climate change. They discussed the opportunities for concrete deliverables ahead of the Secretary-General's Climate Summit in September and the Paris climate negotiations in 2015.
In addition, they discussed the situation in Syria, the United Nations Chief Executives Board for Coordination and the International Monetary Fund/World Bank Spring Meetings.
