NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jan 28, 2014) - unite4:good (www.unite4good.org) today announced that the U.S. Fund for UNICEF has joined its revolutionary global movement for humanity as a Founding Affiliate. As a result of this collaboration, the Global Citizen Fellowship and Informed Supporter Program of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF (www.unicefusa.org) is receiving a grant from unite4:good to provide positive and lasting change on a global scale.

"We are proud to work with unite4:good to empower the public to create positive change throughout the world," said Leslie Goldman, vice president of Program and Community Engagement at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. "Thanks to unite4:good, we'll be able to engage with more Americans who care about the well-being of children, and help inspire them to take action."

Founded by the non-profit Bright Future International (www.BrightFutureInternational.org) philanthropist Anthony Melikhov, unite4:good is establishing a new standard whereby acts of kindness and service become so valued and celebrated that everyone chooses to make them a part of their daily life. The ultimate goal of the unite4:good campaign is to convey the inspire:empower:share:love message and provoke positive action to deliver a day when the number of people who want to help outnumber those who need it.

"By joining the unite4:good movement, people will create a positive impact on their local communities as well as themselves, for when we do good, we feel good," said Mr. Melikhov. "With enough people focused on helping others, we can facilitate an overall shift towards kindness and empathy on a global scale. We can do as much as we dream, so we must dream big."

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF Global Citizenship Fellowship program empowers American youth to challenge injustice and take action for the world's children. The Fellows serve in the United States, from New York to Los Angeles and everywhere in between. They are talented young citizens chosen from a highly competitive pool of candidates.

With their collective strength, Global Citizenship Fellows know that they can help bring the number of children who die from preventable causes to ZERO. Their task is to activate local communities, schools, governments, volunteers and faith-based organizations to unite on behalf of the world's children.

Over the course of their 13 month long commitment, Global Citizenship Fellows will inspire their communities to aid UNICEF in its mission to save and improve children's lives. They educate and mobilize thousands through UNICEF campaigns and programs like Teach UNICEF, Trick-or-Treat UNICEF, and the UNICEF TAP project. Their work helps generate the funds and awareness necessary to provide healthcare, immunizations, clean water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief to children in the 190 countries and territories where UNICEF is present.

Together, unite4:good and its globally-recognized Founding Affiliates will develop new grants and programs which will further their respective missions and promote positive information about their activities so that their endeavors become mainstream.
