Retail sales volume increased by 0.6% compared with the previous month

Seasonal and calendar adjusted retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 0.6% in November 2014 compared with the previous month. In the same month, food, drinks and tobacco sales remained stable, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 0.5% and automotive fuel sales increased by 1.7%.

Considering the details of the non-food sectors; computers, books, telecommunications equipment sales decreased by 1.0%, electronic goods and furniture sales increased by 2.1%, textiles, clothing and footwear sales increased by 0.6%, medical goods and cosmetic sales increased by 1.1% and sales via mail orders and internet increased by 3.3% compared with the previous month.

Calendar adjusted retail sales volume with constant prices increased by 3.8% in November 2014 compared with the same month of previous year. In the same month, food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 1.8%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 1.9% and automotive fuel sales increased by 10.0%.

Considering the details of the non-food sectors; computers, books, telecommunications equipment sales decreased by 2.9%, electronic goods and furniture sales increased by 1.4%, textiles, clothing and footwear sales increased by 5.9%, medical goods and cosmetic sales increased by 8.3% and sales via mail orders and internet increased by 25.7% compared with the same month of previous year.

Retail turnover increased by 1.1% compared with the previous month

Seasonal and calendar adjusted retail turnover with current prices increased by 1.1% in November 2014 compared with the previous month. In the same month, food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 2.1%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 0.8% and automotive fuel sales increased by 0.6%.

Calendar adjusted retail turnover with current prices increased by 8.5% in November 2014 compared with the same month of previous year. In the same month, food, drinks and tobacco sales increased by 13.6%, non-food (except automotive fuel) sales increased by 8.5% and automotive fuel sales increased by 3.1%.

No calendar effect observed in "automotive fuel" indices. Therefore unadjusted series are used instead of calendar adjusted series.
