IFA ELECTIONS FOR LIVESTOCK AND ENVIRONMENT CHAIRS

Brendan Golden has been elected Chairman of the IFA National Livestock Committee at a meeting in Portlaoise today. He is the Mayo representative on the Committee.

He will take over from outgoing Chairman Angus Woods at the Annual General Meeting on Monday, Jan 27th.

The next Chairman of the IFA National Environment Committee will be Paul O'Brien. He is the Kilkenny representative on the Committee.

He will succeed Thomas Cooney at the AGM.

Next week will see two other Committee Chair elections take place. The National Liquid Milk Committee will meet on Wed, Jan 15th and the IFA National Rural Development Committee will meet on Thurs, Jan 16th.

The election for National Treasurer will take place at the AGM.
