Egg production increased 5.5% from the same month a year earlier to 59.5 million dozen in November.

Placements of hatchery chicks on farms increased 2.4% to 63.6 million birds in December compared with the same month a year earlier.

Stocks of frozen poultry meat in cold storage on January 1 were up 27.0% from the same date a year earlier to 66 118 tonnes.
