Development in November 2012 in comparison with October 2012 1)

Turnover increased, month-on-month, in information and communication by 1,2 %, in construction by 0,5 % and in selected market services by 0,3 %. Lower turnover was registered in industry by 0,9 %, in transportation and storage by 0,5 %.

Development in November 2012 compared with November 2011

Turnover in industry increased by 6,1 % to EUR 7 387,4 million. The development was affected mostly by a rise of turnover in manufacture of transport equipment by 17 %, manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 8,2 %, manufacture of basic metal and fabricated metal products except machinery and equipment by 4,7 %, manufacture of wood, paper products and printing by 6,4 % and in manufacture of food, beverages and tobacco products by 4,9 %. Turnover decreased mostly in other manufacture, repair and installation of machinery and equipment by 8,4 % and in manufacture of rubber and plastic products and other non-metallic mineral products by 3,5 %.

The trend of sharp decline of turnover in construction continued. Turnover decreased by 14,9 % and amounted to EUR 778,7 million.

In transportation and storage, 2) a year-on-year growth rate of turnover slowed down, compared with the previous month. The total turnover increased by 10 % to EUR 598,8 million as a result of a growth in most activities. The development was affected mostly by a rise of turnover in warehousing and support activities for transportation by 19,4 %, in land transport and transport via pipelines by 5 %. Turnover decreased only in water transport by 11,9 %.

Turnover of information and communication 3) increased by 9,9 % to EUR 451,6 million. The total increase was affected mostly by higher turnover in information service activities by 34 %, computer programming by 17,4 %, motion picture, video and television programme production by 12,9 %. Turnover decreased only in programming and broadcasting activities by 12,8 %.

Turnover in selected market services 4) continued to increase considerably, year-on-year. Compared with November 2011, it increased by 12,2 % to EUR 1 072,9 million. Turnover was higher in all activities, of which mostly in real estate activities by 21,7 %, architectural and engineering activities by 21 %, security and investigation activities by 15,5 %.

Turnover of industry increased by 8,4 % to EUR 76 095,9 million. Turnover increased mostly in manufacture of transport equipment by 25,8 %, manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products by 10,9 %, manufacture of basic metal and fabricated metal products except machinery and equipment by 5 %, manufacture of food, beverages and tobacco products by 5,9 %, electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 2,1 %. Turnover decreased mostly in manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products by 11,6 % and in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products by 4,3 %.

Turnover of construction enterprises decreased by 15,1 % to EUR 7 010,3 million.

Turnover of transportation and storage amounted to EUR 6 322,1 million in total. It increased by 8,9 %, year-on-year, of which mostly in warehousing and support activities for transportation by 17,8 %, in land transport and transport via pipelines by 2,2 %. Turnover decreased only in postal and courier activities by 0,8 %.

Turnover of information and communication increased by 5,9 % to EUR 4 634,2 million. A growth of turnover was recorded mostly in information services by 16,1 %, computer programming by 13,4 %. Turnover decreased in programming and broadcasting activities by 7,3 % and in telecommunications by 0,8 %.

The total turnover of selected market services increased by 15,7 %, year-on-year, to EUR 10 746,8 million as a result of higher turnover in all activities. The development was affected mostly by a rise of turnover in real estate activities by 22,4 %, rental and leasing activities by 16,1 %, security and investigation activities by 15,4 %, architectural and engineering activities by 15,1 %.
