Volume turnover in retail trade lower than in the previous month
In December 2012, compared to November 2012, the volume turnover in retail trade decreased by 2.1%. In the same comparison, the volume turnover in retail trade except automotive fuel decreased by 1.4%.The volume turnover in retail trade of food, beverages and tobacco decreased by 1.6%, while the volume turnover in retail trade of non-food products except automotive fuel decreased by 1.4%.

In December 2012, compared to the previous month, the volume turnover in wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles went up by 2.6%.

Volume turnover in retail trade lower than in December 2011
In December 2012, compared to December 2011, the volume turnover in retail trade decreased by 7.5%. In retail trade except automotive fuel the volume turnover in retail trade decreased more, by 8.3%; in retail trade of food, beverages and tobacco it decreased by 6.4% and in retail trade of non-food products except automotive fuel by 9.9%.

In December 2012, compared to December 2011, the volume turnover in wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles fell by 0.5%.

In 2012 lower volume turnover in retail trade
In 2012, compared to 2011, the volume turnover in retail trade of non-food products except automotive fuel decreased by 5.4%. In the same comparison, the volume turnover in wholesale, retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased by 5.3% and in retail trade of food, beverages and tobacco it decreased by 5.2%.

The most important data on turnover indices of retail trade, wholesale and retail trade and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles for December 2012 are published at the same time in the SI-STAT database on SURS's website. Detailed data on turnover indices for all activity groups for December 2012 will be published in the SI-STAT database on 28 February 2013.
