In 2017 inflation in Slovenia measured with the consumer price index (CPI) stood at 1.7%. In one year goods prices went up by 1.9% and service prices by 1.3%. In 2017 the prices of goods and services in the group education went up the most (by 3.7%), followed by the group housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (by 3.6%). On the other hand, the prices in the group communications were 2.3% lower.
