The public is invited to three talks about school choice, beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Clarion Hotel in Harpers Ferry.

Michael Chartier, senior director of state relations for EdChoice, Jason Huffman, state director for Americans for Prosperity, and Garrett Ballengee, executive director of the Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy will deliver remarks.

This event is planned to coincide with the history-making celebration of National School Choice Week 2018, which will feature more than 32,000 school choice events across all 50 states.

“If West Virginia is truly going to realize progress in its education system and thereby provide a better future for its children, then we must start the conversation about reform,” said Garrett Ballengee. “I believe families and communities must be made aware of educational alternatives, and there is no better time for this conversation than during National School Choice Week. West Virginians should no longer be content with a status quo that leaves so many students -- and futures -- behind.”

The Cardinal Institute is hosting the event.
