Silicon Beach Fest is returning for a one-day event in Hollywood, which will take place on November 13, 2013. The theme is 'Startups and Hollywood,' and will feature industry leaders from movie studios, music labels, agencies, startups, investors and accelerators, exploring the many ways that the entertainment industry is incorporating technology, and the ways startups work with studios. The event expands this year by co-hosting Idea to Screen event, featuring a morning breakfast with Maker Studios Breakfast and a lunchtime session with Phil Rosenthal, Everybody Loves Raymond. Schedule and registration for the event are available at http://siliconbeachfest.com.

"More than ever, movie studios and entertainment companies are recognizing the impact of digital and experimenting with new technologies. We've seen this first hand as a proliferation of entertainment based start-ups have been formed and funded by top VCs, accelerators, and entertainment studios at our past Silicon Beach Fest events," said Digital LA founder, Kevin Winston. "Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood focuses specifically on featuring these entertainment based technologies which are quickly becoming one of the cornerstones of the Los Angeles business community. This year's Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood is the place for entertainment and technology discussion, discovery, and new business partnerships."

This year's Silicon Beach Fest Hollywood agenda includes:

  • A packed agenda featuring two tracks: hands-on workshops and knowledge-sharing panels. Both tracks include participation and leadership from LA's top startup CEO's, venture capitalists, and entertainment executives from companies such as Warner Bros., Universal Music, and United Talent Agency (UTA). Panel topics include:
    • Investors: VCs, Accelerators and Angels...and Hollywood Studios
    • Startups in Entertainment: Silicon Beach Success Stories
    • What's Your Strategy: Marketing, Social Media and PR

Delta Air Lines is providing prizing for Startup Showcase winners.
  • As part of their commitment to LA's emerging tech sector, Delta Air Lines will be offering first-class tickets on the new Los Angeles - San Francisco shuttle service* for the winning team of the Startup Showcase. • An additional co-located event, Idea to Screen, run by David Beebe Projects. The event is limited to 50 attendees who will receive hands-on advice via panels, conversations and workshops which will give content creators actionable advice on how to take their idea to big screen. Highlights include a Maker Studios breakfast, and lunch with Phil Rosenthal, executive producer of Everybody Loves Raymond. "It's not just another industry event where you'll see and hear the same talking heads," says Idea to Screencreator David Beebe. "The format is made up of conversations, panels, and workshops - all in variety of formats - but always interactive so the audience leaves with hands on practical experience and take aways they can apply in the real world. We're excited to launch the first event at Silicon Beach Fest with Digital LA. They've been a leader in the space and we're excited to join them."

This year's Hollywood focused event comes on the heels of the massively successful week-long Silicon Beach Fest in June which welcomed over 3,000 attendees and spanned events across Los Angeles from Pasadena to Santa Monica. The fest received national press coverage, sparked collaboration among industries, and resulted in new startups being created. Past speakers include executives from notable companies including Disney ABC TV, FOX Broadcasting, NBCUniversal, Maker Studios, Google, The GRAMMYs, and Interscope Records UMG, as well as dozens of LA's up-and-coming startups.
