Loomis, Sayles & Company announced today the addition of Michael Meyer, CFA, as a securitized strategist for illiquid and real assets on the securitized asset team. He is based in the company’s Boston office and reports to Alessandro Pagani, head of securitized assets.

In this newly created role, Michael will focus on identifying and capturing private debt/equity investment opportunities for clients across a broad range of financial and real assets. He will assist in structuring and managing investment solutions that address client needs by collaborating with existing members of the securitized asset team to leverage their credit skills, market relationships, and deep knowledge in real estate, consumer and commercial assets.

The 16 person securitized team provides strategy recommendations, research and trading on more than $23.6 billion of securitized assets held across Loomis Sayles products. The team also manages directly $5.7 billion1 across dedicated securitized strategies.

Biographical information
Before joining Loomis Sayles, Michael was a senior analyst and the chief operating officer of the Asset Based Value Strategy at Perella Weinberg Partners, an investment strategy he helped launch that focused on investing in a broad range of real and financial assets. In this role, he generated investment views on a broad range of opportunities and asset classes, assisted the team with managing strategic and operational needs, and was responsible for specific operating businesses as well as other portfolio investments. Prior to this, Michael was a vice president and senior analyst at Liberty Harbor, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he was responsible for developing investment views on public securities based on fundamental analysis across a wide range of sectors. He was previously an analyst at Citadel Investment Group and a consultant for nearly five years at McKinsey & Company. Michael earned a BS from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard University.
