As the company celebrates 65 years of delivering high-quality foods directly to people’s homes, Schwan’s is launching a campaign encompassing social media and influencer programs, charitable giving, a 40 foot Schwan’s truck tower at Super Bowl LIVE, along with other fun activities taking place on a local and national level.

“On behalf of every employee at Schwan’s Company, we are extraordinarily proud of our support of the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee’s work to create what we expect will be the most exciting and unique fan experience in the history of the big game,” said Dimitrios Smyrnios, CEO of Schwan’s Company. “We are especially proud to celebrate our heritage food delivery business that was established right here in Minnesota more than 65 years ago. We look forward to welcoming fans from all over and giving them a taste of what Minnesota and Schwan’s are all about.”

Schwan’s Partners with Pro Football Greats to Fight Hunger

Schwan’s strives to improve the quality of life in communities where its employees live and work. The company focuses on exceptional efforts to end hunger, promote youth education and leadership development, as well as provide essential services that advance healthier communities.

As part of the campaign, Schwan’s has teamed up with professional football tight ends Jason Witten and Kyle Rudolph to fight hunger in America. The company and the players are working to raise money for Second Harvest Heartland, a Minneapolis-St Paul based food bank. Schwan’s pledges to donate $5 for every order by a new customer submitted between Jan. 26 and Feb. 5, up to $25,000. This equates to 75,000 meals for families in need.

“We at Schwan’s understand the importance of family mealtime and plan to use our support of the Minnesota Super Bowl LII Host Committee to celebrate our foods, Minnesota heritage and community commitment,” said Pat Anderson, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Schwan’s Home Service. “As a food company, we are committed to the fight to end hunger in our communities. We are thrilled to partner with these two football greats to make a difference here at home and across the country.”

To participate, new customers can visit www.schwans.com to sign up and submit an order today.

In addition to giving back in Minnesota, Schwan’s recently turned its focus to Texas where the company has a significant market and employee presence. On Dec. 29, Schwan’s and Witten teamed up to deliver nearly 2,000 servings of food to Dallas/Fort Worth area families living at The Gatehouse, a supportive living community where women and children in crisis receive safe refuge, ample time, practical resources and healthy relationships to discover new paths for permanent, positive change. While there, Witten took the time to visit with fans and play catch with some of the children.

“I’ve been fortunate to play in Dallas my entire career. This community means a great deal to my family and me. Visiting The Gatehouse and delivering Schwan’s food was rewarding and a tremendous honor,” said Jason Witten.
