On Monday, Jan. 22, 'Saxophone: Past & Present' will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall, featuring faculty members saxophonist Stephen Fischer and pianist Kaju Lee with guest artist violinist Rachael Fischer. Rachael Fischer is an assistant professor of music at Georgia Gwinnett College and maintains a violin studio at the University of Georgia Community Music School. The program will include Amy Beach's 1893 'Romance,' Giacinto Scelsi's 1956 'Tre Pezzi' and Lucie Robert's 2014 'Interrogations,' among other pieces. A $5 donation is encouraged.
