China Foma (Group) Co Ltd (China Foma) achieved a great accomplishment with the completion of its first distributed photovoltaic (PV) project for power generation on Dec 30, 2016.

The 10MWp PV project was built in Zhejiang province's Lishui Economic Development Zone. It is the largest project for distributed PV electricity generation in the city, spanning seven rooftops with an estimated output of 10.22 million watts in the first year. The project is expected to realize greater energy conservation and emission reduction effects compared with previous power plants of the same yield capacity.

Operation of the distributed PV project marks a big step forward for China Foma in the way of developing new energy solutions.

China Foma, formerly known as the Machinery Company of the Ministry of Forestry, was founded in Beijing in 1979 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) in 2007.
