The Mayor's Charity Appeal 2016-2017.

The Member of Parliament for Rochdale, Simon Danczuk, is hosting a dinner in Rochdale Town Hall to raise funds for the Mayor's Charity and has arranged as his speaker this year - The Lord Maurice Glasman.

The Lord Maurice Glasman is:

  • An English academic, Social Thinker and Labour Life Peer in the House of Lords.
  • A senior lecturer in Political Theory at London Metropolitan University and founder of 'Blue Labour'.

This dinner will have a 'non-political theme'.

There will be a 3-course dinner with the following arrangements:

Timed: 7pm for 7.30pm.

Venue: The Reception Room, Rochdale Town Hall.

Dress Code: Lounge Suits.

Tickets: £30 each.

House of Lord's soup and bloomer bread

For mains

Roast leg of lamb with whole green beans, carrot batons, minted new potatoes and madeira sauce.

For dessert

Mixed berries fruit pavlova, served with fresh cream

To finish

Tea and coffee with after dinner mints.

Vegetarian option

Oven-baked cheddar cheese soufflé
