Mr. Shafi will report directly to Ryan Kavanaugh, Chairman and CEO of Relativity. He will lead digital marketing and brand partnerships for the company, and oversee Relativity Digital Studios, which released its first feature-length film, "Summer Forever," in July 2015. Additionally, he will work to further build out Quantum, Relativity's digital platform, grow the sales division and oversee the expansion of the content division as well as exploring new platforms and technologies.

"We are extremely pleased to have Tamoor on board to help grow our digital business," said Kavanaugh. "He has a deep understanding of the evolving relationship between content, technology and brands that will allow us to create an innovative digital enterprise leaps ahead of any studio operating today."

"I am excited to bring my expertise to Relativity, which is the first Hollywood studio to carve out a unique niche in the digital space," commented Mr. Shafi. "Ryan and his team have developed a model that encourages the creative flexibility and early collaboration needed to create compelling content that will resonate with digital audiences. I look forward to working closely with them to build on this success."

Tamoor Shafi was previously Founder and CEO of Omnia Media, a leading global millennial-focused digital media company with offices in Los Angeles, New York, Vietnam and Toronto. Mr. Shafi founded Omnia in 2013 as an online-video network, and it currently has over 1.8 billion monthly views, encompassing 40 percent year-over-year growth, in the gaming, women's lifestyle, and music verticals. Mr. Shafi sold Omnia this month. Omnia is a competitive platform to Maker Studios, which was acquired by The Walt Disney Company for nearly $1 billion.

Under Mr. Shafi's leadership, Omnia has expanded both organically and through multiple acquisitions into owned and operated platforms, original content creation, off-platform products and deals, and has built out a fully integrated sales and marketing team that drove Omnia's strategy as a 360 degree multi-platform destination. He spearheaded Omnia's product and tech team to create proprietary technology that drove the company in making more data-oriented decisions and build infrastructure to scale.

Originally from Toronto and at just 24 years old, Mr. Shafi continues to be a pioneer in the digital world and stands out as a leader with an extraordinary ability to connect vision, people, and ideas to drive successful strategy and execution of innovative ideas.
