In December, the PSI-20 Index closed at 4,898.36 points, reflecting a 6.4% upturn than in November and a 6.1% decrease than that recorded in the same period in 2019. The key issuers on the Index were EDP Renováveis (18.67%), EDP (15.22%) and BCP (9.61%).

The Index's volatility stood at 15.83%, below that of 22.30% of the previous month and 10.05% above that recorded during the same period last year.

The value of spot secondary market transactions amounted to €2,058.1 million. This is a €304.4 million (12.9%) decrease than in November and €186.4 million (10.0%) more than in December 2019. The trading volume on Euronext Lisbon amounted to €2,058.0 million. This reflects a 12.9% monthly downturn and a 16.8% upsurge during the same period.

The trading volume in debt securities on MTS Portugal amounted to €10,758.0 million in December, representing a monthly increase of 16.9% and Treasury Bills decreased by 18.5% and Treasury bonds rose by 123.2%.

Market capitalisation of Euronext Lisbon amounted to €230,198.4 million. This corresponds to an increase of €7,480.0 million (3.4%) than in the preceding month and 12.4% more than in the corresponding period. The share sector increased by 10.1% up to €73,257.8 million, while the bonds sector increased by 0.5% up to €156,540.0 million.

​​The amount under management in the undertakings for collective investment in transferable securities and alternative investment funds rose 6.1% in November apropos October up to €14,205.8 million. In real estate investment funds and special real estate investment funds, the amount increased 0.7% up to €10,424.7 million.
