PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela : Venezuela and Nicaragua join efforts for the productive development of both nations

Caracas.- The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting with President of Nicaragua Daniel Ortega, in order to strengthen the bonds of cooperation, promote bilateral trade and increase the productive capacity of both nations.

President Maduro invited Nicaragua to participate in the development of the various economic drivers of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda and described the meeting as the beginning of the strengthening of a productive union for months to come between public as well as private sector business from the land of Sandino and the homeland of Bolívar for a new economic model.

At the meeting, the Venezuelan president expressed his admiration for the Sandinista government of Daniel Ortega. 'We have learned from you to do a lot with little. Both Fidel and Chávez stressed this philosophy. Together we have seen Alba flourish and the push on Petrocaribe', he said.

He also called on both countries to join efforts for the development of their peoples through Alba and Petrocaribe and strengthen trade. 'We have to build a successful path of productive economic integration, revive relations, and maintain regular meetings to create a new dynamic and see the rebirth of a new wave of awakening and liberation of América. I have come to propose and ratify this', he said.

President Daniel Ortega expressed the willingness of his country to continue working with the Bolivarian Revolution in the construction of a new integration dynamic focused on the growth of the region in various areas of common interest, such as petrochemicals and gas.

He commended the efforts and work of the Bolivarian Government, which despite the difficulties faced in 2016, managed to maintain social welfare policies through the various missions created for the benefit of the people. 'This new year will be the end of the crisis and the strengthening of the Venezuelan economy', he said.
