On Friday December 22, 2017, President Donald Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The new law contains sweeping tax reform, the likes which we haven't seen in over 30 years. The majority of the provisions in the new tax law don't take effect until 2018, but it is important to be aware of the changes as your 2017 tax returns are prepared and you start planning for 2018.
