"For the film to win best picture is just a testament to so many different people who were involved in the film. Our incredible cast and our incredible crew," Nolan told journalists backstage after the awards show.
Murphy said he was still in a little bit of a daze after his win.
"I'm very grateful and, you know, very proud to be Irish standing here today," he added.
