Omani Qatari Telecommunications SAOG : Ooredoo Honours Team ‘I Build’ from Springboard’s Sixth Wave of Graduates

Ooredoo honoured team 'I Build', from the sixth wave of graduates after being selected from the Springboard programme's top three. The group created an interactive, all in one application which allows users to easily connect and navigate the construction industry in the Sultanate. The first of its kind in Oman, the app will simplify the building process for home owners and bring the construction industry into the digital world. The application focuses on building and construction rules and regulations in Oman and also covers information on engineers, builders, décor and building materials. Furthermore, the app helps users to easily view and assess potential contractor portfolios, access consultants for their opinions and compare market prices during the planning stage.

Safaa Al Balushi, Team Leader of 'I Build' said, 'I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to Ooredoo for giving us the support and opportunity to develop this innovative project. We made this interactive application with home builders and construction workers in mind. We wanted to make the process of building a home easier and quicker, while also providing the construction industry with an alternative avenue to generate more business. This application is intended to help everyone in the community and give them all the information they need at their fingertips when building their dream homes'.

The Springboard programme was created in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the British Council, with the belief that everyone has untapped potential that can be developed for the fulfilment of the individual, their employer and local communities. To date, Springboard has been introduced to over 175,000 women in over 22 countries, empowering them to harness their talents and live healthier, happier and more productive lives.
