PJSC UEC-Saturn (part of United Engine Corporation, a Rostec State Corporation company) has concluded a trilateral agreement with RSATU (Soloviev Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University) and Rybinsk Education Department aimed at promotion of engineering occupations and the inflow of young employees at the enterprise.
'This activity will boost a number of students who pass a basic state exam and a unified national exam on such principle disciplines for PJSC UEC-Saturn as physics and mathematics. This activity will increase a number of applicants to Soloviev Rybinsk State Aviation Technical University on engineering disciplines and will attract qualified young staff at the enterprise,' -points out Svetlana Zhukova, PJSC UEC-Saturn HR Director.
The agreement provides for vocational-guidance work within the 'ProMOTION' project to improve the quality of education in Rybinsk schools with support from PJSC UEC-Saturn: demonstration lessons and subject planning sessions involving employees of the company, scientific training conferences, championships in physics 'Build your career in UEC', visit of Quantorium (Rybinsk) and Einstein museum (Yaroslavl), designated excursions at the enterprise, presentation of advanced occupations and RSATU qualifications at parent guidance meetings.
Following the trilateral agreement, the activities will cover different aspects:
1. Additional technique of school labs for holding practical advanced sessions in physics.
2. The occupational advancement of physics teachers and lecturers: payment of grants by PJSC UEC-Saturn to stimulate teachers and lecturers of Soloviev RSATU in order to master professional competences in the educational activity.
3. Rendering support to parents working at PJSC UEC-Saturn, whose children - 8-11 grade students - won in the events of federal and international importance, passed unified national exams in physics with score 60, not less, and after graduation from school, got into RSATU to pursue major training programs and also concluded a contract of apprenticeship for the education program with PJSC UEC-Saturn.
4. Rendering support to students of Soloviev RSATU: students pursuing the employer-sponsored education and students from pilot training groups get a supplementary scholarship allowance from PJSC UEC-Saturn. Benefits are also foreseen for a successful defense of a diploma project, when completing the study in the university and getting employed in the company.
Three-party vocational-guidance activity is focused on the promotion of engineering disciplines. It will contribute to pursuing a conscious strategy of choosing a future engineering occupation and an education institution. It will make it possible to go to a higher educational institution on a budgetary basis and to gain confidence in a future vocational need.
