In its continuing efforts to expand its roster of titles in the $93 billion mobile gaming market, Obscene Interactive, the games division of OBJ Enterprises (OTCBB: OBJE), has engaged new partnership and acquisition targets specializing in educational games.

"As we expand our Novalon Games brand, we're looking for potential breakout hits that expand the public's understanding of what a game can do for you," said OBJE CEO Paul Watson. "The appeal of mobile games that can actively make you smarter is irresistible, and there are properties being developed right now that are actually capable of such a feat."

In its search, OBJE is focusing on games centered around new language acquisition as well as geography, Watson said. The company began shortlisting targets at the end of 2013 and has now opened talks with developers about building the next generation of brain-boosting word, puzzle and memory games.

"Fun still comes first," Watson said. "Revolutionary games like Portal, for example, are able to increase players' spatial awareness and reasoning while still providing a fun and engrossing experience. That's the kind of game we want to deliver to the mobile marketplace."

OBJE is working to build a robust portfolio of engaging new content to capitalize on the explosion in gaming across the globe. The company earned its first revenues by releasing new games including Phantasmic and Bluff Wars 2.0, with Novalon's latest title, Creature Tavern, hitting the Google Play app market last month--just in time for the holiday buying season, when more apps are purchased than at any other time of the year.

Through its gaming division, Obscene Interactive, OBJE is working to deliver many more innovative gaming products for the Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) App Store and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Play market alongside companies such as Glu Mobile Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU) and The9 Limited (NASDAQ: NCTY).
