The Annual General Assembly Meetings continue at NOC headquarters where the Annual General Assembly Meeting of Ras Lanuf Oil & Gas Processing Company was held on Wednesday 30 December 2015. Mr. Abulgasem Shengheer, the Acting Chairman of the Board, and Messrs. Elamari Mohamed Elamari and Jadalla Aloakali, Members of the Board, in addition to Messrs. Chairman and Members of the Management Committee of Ras Lanuf Company, a number of general managers and department managers of NOC, and the Company, and the Monitoring Authority attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Acting Chairman asserted that the Company, like other companies, has faced numerous difficulties because of the repeated events in the area and the deteriorated security status, which led to the interruption of the Company activity.

Mr. Shengheer also appreciated the efforts made by the Company and its faithful employees as an attempt to preserve the Company's various capabilities and continue working to operate some units in order to make electricity power and other required services available to the city.

On his part, Mr. Masoud Alarifi, the Chairman of the Management Committee of Ras Lanuf Company, stated that the instable security position in the area had a negative impact on the work and activity of the Company. He asserted his Company and employees' persistence on doing their utmost to resume the activity of the Company and the return of production as soon as the area becomes safe and secure again.

After that, a presentation of the Company activity was given starting with safety and environmental protection, with statistics of accidents and casualties, an idea on the precautionary maintenance works. These were followed by a summary of production quantities of the Company plants and compounds, in addition to the crude quantities and the facilities production targets, the movement of the tankers, the activities and participations to which the Company contributed. The presentation also included the activity of manpower department, the training and development programs, the financial position, the operational budget, the actual expenditure budget, the approved operational budget, the capital budget, projects and development program budget and the Company targets for 2016.

The report of the Monitoring Authority was presented and the difficulties and problems mentioned therein were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Acting Chairman emphasized the necessity of cooperation and communication between the Company departments and NOC department in order to obtain information that may contribute to the functioning of the Company properly.

Messrs. Chairman and Members of the Board thanked and appreciated all the employees of the Company hoping that the area will regain stability and the Company will resume its activity soon.

In the Second Session

Mr. Abulgasem Shengheer, the Acting Chairman, held the Annual General Assembly Meeting of the National Catering Company for Oil Fields and Terminals. Messrs. Elamari Mohamed Elamari, Jadalla Hamed Aloakali, Members of the Board, Messrs. Chairman and Members of the Management Committee of the Company and a number of general and department mangers of NOC and the Company in addition to members of the Monitoring Authority attended the meeting.

Messrs. Chairman and Members of the Board opened the meeting by welcoming the attendants. Mr. Acting Chairman referred to the difficult circumstances that the Company is going through because of the deteriorated security situation, which had a negative impact on the operations of the Company. Mr. Abulgasem also praised the role of the Company Management and its employees in their attempt to preserve the activity of the Company and provide with satisfactory services to the customers.

On his part, Chairman of the Management Committee greeted, and thanked Chairman and the Board of Directors appreciating the unlimited support given by NOC to the Company ever since its establishment.

The Chairman of the Management Committee assured that the Company and its employees are doing their best to perform the obligations under the signed Contracts with the companies represented in providing services. However, the current security circumstances of the country and the inexistence of the appropriate work conditions prevented the Company from communication with such companies.

At the beginning of the presentation, the Company gave a summary of the accomplished works during 2015 and an idea of the difficulties and problems that face the Company as well as the suggestions and solutions that may mitigate such difficulties. After that the Company's plan for the next year and the developing program were presented. Then the presentation focused on the manpower work and the suggested training and developing plan. The presentation also included the general summary of the suggested budget, the capital budget, the estimated budget, the revenues, a summary of the developing plan and a road map for 2016.

At the end of the meeting, Messrs. Chairman and Members of the General Assembly Meeting urged the Company to conduct a clear study and make a business plan to enable the Company to increase its income in future. Messrs. Chairman and Members of the General Assembly Meeting also gave an acknowledgment speech to the Company Management and its staff hoping that safety and security will prevail all Libya and the Company will achieve its objectives next year.
