Jakarta, 30/12/2016 MoF - President Joko Widodo instructed his ranks to fix regulations regarding procurement of goods and services. He hoped, it could apply information technology so that the process will be easy, fast and transparent. 'I ask an improvement in regulatory aspect so that the procurement process will be simplified,' he said as quoted from state secretariat site on Friday (30//12).

Moreover, he also instructed to increase the supervisory function such as planning, budgeting up to the execution, so that any violations and corrupt practices can be eradicated. 'I wanted to practices such as projects already bonded, mark up, bribery to related parties, the manipulation with vendors, fictitious auction with manipulated document and procurement winner, no longer existed,' he said.

This improvement measures are expected to increase the number of products and the transaction value of e-catalogue. For information, the current government's total procurement of electronic transactions in 2016 stood IDR399 trillion and 2016 e-catalogue contains 81 thousand products valued of IDR48 trillion.(as)
