Jakarta, 26/05/2014 MoF (Fiscal) News - Minister of Finance M. Chatib Basri attended the Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR), with the agenda of hearing the DPR response toward the government statement on the preliminary discussion points, Draft of State Budget (RAPBN) for Fiscal Year 2015.

In a meeting led by Deputy Chairman of the DPR Muhammad Sohibul, all factions agreed that the macroeconomic framework and the main points of fiscal policy in 2015 delivered by the government to be further discussed in the Parliament in accordance with the mechanism.

All factions agreed that RAPBN 2015 can provide enough space for the next administration, the main substance in it government only calculates basic needs and public service. "In line with the government, we consider that it is important to provide space for the next government, so the RAPBN 2015 does need to be baseline," said a spokesman from Hanura Party Nurdin Tampubolon, Monday (26/6).

All factions of DPR also looked optimistic that Indonesia's economic growth in 2015 would be better and continue to grow. However, spokesman of the PKB faction Chusnunia reminded, various external shocks challenge should be faced by the national economy. However, she is optimistic that with improved global economic projection, it will have a positive effect on the rate of Indonesia's economic growth.

Meanwhile, Gerindra Party and PKS reminded of the importance of controlling the inflation rate in 2015. Gerindra party faction spokesman Fary Djemy Francis highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the government and Bank Indonesia, to control inflation so as not to hamper the growth of the national economy.(ak)
