HALIFAX, Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Metamaterial Technologies Inc. (MTI) is pleased to announce that Mr. Marco Goguen has joined the company's executive team as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He brings over 20 years of experience as an investment banker, private equity investor and entrepreneur. Prior to joining MTI, Mr. Goguen was Co-Head of the Clean Technology Group at National Bank Financial and was responsible for all investment banking services to energy and industrial technology companies. He was a member of the investment banking teams at Credit Suisse First Boston in Montreal, Morgan Stanley Technology Investment Banking Group in Menlo Park, California, and Morgan Stanley Canada in Toronto.

During his career, Mr. Goguen also co-founded MJCL Capital and Canadian Private Equity (CAPE) Partners; two private equity firms with investments in energy technology, information technology, real estate and industrial companies, and Solarent, a solar power generation company in Ontario, where he served as CFO. He was Director of Investments at Europatweb (Groupe Arnault) in Paris, a venture capital firm with over EUR600 million invested in 40 companies. He was also an associate at the Sextant Group, a mid-market leveraged buyout firm in New York.
