Angkor Wat ticket sales generated $62.5 million in 2016, a 4.21 percent increase on a year earlier, while the number of foreign visitors rose 4.63 percent to 2.19 million.

Revenue from tickets to the Angkor Archeological Park in Cambodia has risen slightly since the government withdrew rights from a private company to manage the park.

From February ticket prices will increase: A one-day pass will be $37, up from the current $20; a three-day pass goes up to $62 from $40; and a weekly pass to $72 from $60.

One-day tickets were the most popular last year.
