This iconic Crystal Lake home has a few stories to tell.

Some know it simply as the 'The Ringling House,' but the estate at 610 Ringling Road in Crystal Lake is much more. Here are five cool facts:

1. Ringling Road is named after Eliza 'Lou' Ringling, widow of Al, the oldest Ringling brother of circus fame. She was instrumental in refurbishing the Dole Mansion (now a vibrant arts and history center across the street called Lakeside Legacy Arts Park). Fewer than a dozen homes share a Ringling Road address.

2. Built in 1924, the house boasts English-style Tudor architecture with terraces in front and rear for outdoor living.

3.House Beautiful magazine featured this home in 2014 for its spectacular updates, including a renovated gourmet kitchen with new cabinets that were rebuilt from the original design, and a unique guest room.

4. The home was the crown jewel of the 2015 Crystal Lake Housewalk, the Service League 0f Crystal Lake's premiere annual fundraiser. Ticket holders got an exclusive look inside of this special home and sales went to help those in need.

5. It could be your new home! That's right, this amazing home is currently for sale with a recent price reduction. Learn more below.
