Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), our utility subsidiary, continued to extend natural gas service to new customers in 2017. The most recent projects, part of MGE's gas expansion model (GEM) program, are capable of serving up to 300 new customers in several Wisconsin communities.
Safe and reliable service
The GEM program offers customers, who rely on propane or heating oil, the opportunity to switch to natural gas. MGE's program provides new customers with safe, convenient and dependable natural gas service while expanding our services.
Since the program began in 2012, MGE has added more than a thousand customers and 242 miles of gas main.
