Lite On Technology : LSC December sales amounted to 1.05 Billion, YoY 24%

(Jan 8th, 2018, Taipei News)The 4th quarter, a usual slow season for LSC (TWSE : 5305) , consolidated sales amounted to NTD1.05 billion in December, mainly driven by its

subsidiary On-Bright Electronics as it hit a historical record high for the month. This led to a 7% and a close to 24% growth on a MoM and YoY for LSC respectively. Discrete products'4th quarter sales accumulated to NTD1.35 billion, 12% growth on a YoY basis. IC products, 4th quarter sales, driven by a very strong 4th quarter performance by its subsidiary On-Bright Electronics, grew 4% and 25% respectively on a QoQ and YoY basis.

6 inch foundry products had a slow quarter, with a close to 10% and 20% decline respectively on a YoY and QoQ basis; foreign exchange fluctuations and customer end application underperformance both impacted its full year performance with a 13% decline on a YoY basis. Modular System sales in the 4th quarter declined 21% on QoQ basis, however its sales grew 10% on a YoY basis; its accumulated sales for full year 2017 amounted to NTD1.09 billion, which is an over 19% growth on a YoY basis, also the highest growth rate among the 4 product groups within the company.
