Law Society : Help your firm while helping access to justice

Donate your dormant client account monies and help support access to free legal advice.

Unclaimed client account balances are a time-consuming burden because they have to be analysed and accounted for. Save your firm time and clear them from your balance sheet by donating them to improve access to justice.

All donated funds will go towards providing the most vulnerable in society with access to free legal assistance.

Law Society president Robert Bourns said 'Law firms can support access to justice by donating dormant funds to the Access to Justice Foundation's It's Not Just Peanuts campaign. Your donations will help increase support for advice organisations that provide free legal help for some of the most vulnerable members of society. However, initiatives of this kind cannot replace a publicly funded legal aid system. That is something about which the Law Society has always been clear.'
