Jean-Michel Szczerba, a director and Chief Operating Officer, became co-Chief Executive Officer of Plastic Omnium (Paris:POM) on January 1, 2016.

Jean-Michel Szczerba, 55 years old, a graduate of Essec, joined the Compagnie Plastic Omnium in 1985 as a financial controller, after having begun his career two years earlier at the Banque Vernes Commerciale of Paris.

From 1985 to 2001, Jean-Michel Szczerba, successively served as Manager of Financial Services, then as Chief Financial Officer, prior to becoming Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2001. In 2010, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer, prior to becoming a director in 2012.

He is today appointed co-Chief Executive Officer at the side of Laurent Burelle, the Chief Executive Officer.

Jean-Michel Szczerba is, in addition, a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and a Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite.
