(Alliance News) - Wholesale prices in Ireland decreased in the month of December, according to the Central Statistics Office on Tuesday.
Wholesale prices fell by 0.6% on-month in December, improving on a 0.1% fall in November. On an annual basis, prices were 2.1% higher in December, compared to a 1.4% rise in November.
Wholesale electricity prices fell by 28% in December, and were 68% lower compared to the same month a year prior.
According to CSO, domestic producer prices for manufactured goods were on average 3.7% lower in December when compared to a year prior, while producer prices for exported goods rose by 2.4%. Overall, manufacturing producer prices - combining domestic production and exports - were 2.4% higher annually.
