Changes to Education Australia Limited's Representatives on the IDP Education Limited Board

Education Australia Limited (Education Australia) advises the following changes to its representatives on the Board of Directors of IDP Education Limited (IDP Education) (ASX:IEL).

Resignation of Belinda Robinson

Following the announcement made by Universities Australia (UA) on 1 November 2017, advising that Ms Belinda Robinson had given notice of her resignation as the Chief Executive Officer of UA, Education Australia has now received Ms Robinson's resignation from both the Board of Education Australia (to take effect 31 January 2018) and the Board of IDP Education (to take effect 6 February 2018).

The Board of Education Australia acknowledges Ms Robinson's contributions over the years in relation to her roles on both the Board of Education Australia, and also as one of Education Australia's three representatives to the IDP Education Board since the IPO and listing of IDP Education in November 2015.

Mr Greg West, Chair of Education Australia commented, "Ms Robinson was appointed to the IDP Board at an important time in its evolution. Through her role and experience as UA's Chief Executive Officer, Belinda assisted the successful transition of IDP Education from a privately-owned organisation with its 50/50 joint venture between 38 Australian Universities and SEEK Limited, to a publicly listed entity. We thank Belinda and wish her well in her future roles."

Appointment of Professor Colin J. Stirling B.Sc. Ph.D. MAICD

Education Australia is delighted to appoint Professor Colin Stirling as the replacement representative of Education Australia to the IDP Board.

Professor Stirling will be appointed by the IDP Board as a casual vacancy upon Ms Robinson's resignation, with his appointment to take effect on or about 6 February 2018.

Biography

Professor Colin Stirling is the President and Vice-Chancellor of Flinders University and brings over thirty years of experience in international education in Australia, the UK and the USA.

Professor Stirling is a director and chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee of Education Australia. He also holds a number of other board positions across health, academic and community organisations and is the current Chair of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU) group and a board member of the Business/Higher Education Round Table (BHERT).

Educated at the University of Edinburgh, and with a PhD from the University of Glasgow, Professor Stirling began his award winning scientific career at the University of California, Berkeley. He has nearly twenty years of experience in senior leadership and executive roles, first at the University of Manchester (UK) and then at Curtin University (WA) before being appointed to his current CEO role at Flinders in January 2015.
