JOHNSTON, IOWA - The roundtable on the health effects of petroleum fuel at the 2018 Iowa Renewable Fuels Summit has only one question for you: Is your fuel killing you?

The 'Is Your Fuel Killing You?' roundtable will discuss the latest research into the health risks of petroleum fuel and how biofuels can reduce those risks. The roundtable will feature Dr. Zigang Dong, executive director of The Hormel Institute, Dr. Steffen Mueller, principal economist of the Energy Resources Center at the University of Illinois-Chicago, and Angela Tin, vice president of environmental health for the American Lung Association. The roundtable will be moderated by Jessie Stolark, a policy associate with the Environmental and Energy Study Institute.

'We are excited to host some of the world's most well-respected experts on the impact of liquid fuels on human health,' said Iowa Renewable Fuels Association Executive Director Monte Shaw. 'The choices we as consumers make at the pump have long-term effects on our health and the health of our families. This discussion will bring these realities to light.'

The Summit is free to attend and open to the public. Registration is required. The last day to preregister is January 26, 2018. The Summit will take place at the Meadows Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
