Hyosung : issues the ‘2017 Proud Employee of Hyosung Award’

At the '2017 Proud Employee of Hyosung Award' ceremony held in the morning of December 28 at Hyosung's Mapo headquarters, Horst Zang, CBO of Global Safety Textiles(GST), which is the world's No. 1 fabric manufacturer for airbags, was chosen as the winner. A medal and 50 million won in prize money were awarded to him.

Horst Zang, CBO of GST, was awarded the Proud Employee of the year due to his efforts to help expand new markets by tallying the highest-ever sales volume since Hyosung acquired GST in 2011, and signing long-term supply contracts with major global companies.

The '2017 Proud Employee of Hyosung for the fourth quarter' was also awarded in this award ceremony. Hyosung chose ▲ Seok, Byung-Sik, Department Head of Dong Nai Branch in Vietnam as the winner of the technology category, ▲Oh, Seung-Taek, Deputy Head of Hyosung Institute as the winner of the research category, and ▲ Moon, Chang-Soo, Manager of the Strategic Planning Department as the winner of the support category, and prize money and medals were also awarded to each of them.

For the 'Special prize for Hyosung Employee of the year' awarded to subcontractors since 2013 in order to strengthen shared growth with them, Shinhan Heat Exchanger Ind. Co., Ltd. was chosen as the winner of the textile, industrial materials and chemicals category, Seungeun Tech was selected as the winner of the heavy industry category and Woosul Construction was singled out as the winner of the construction category. 20 million won in prize money and medals were awarded to them respectively.

Cho, Hyun-Joon, President of Hyosung, congratulated the winners, stating 'I hope you are able to set an example for our employees and act as inspiration for them.', and asked employees, 'In the New Year, Hyosung family must come together as one to form a path toward becoming a leading global company.'
