Greece hired banks as joint bookrunners for the syndicated launch of a new June 2033-dated euro benchmark bond, with the transaction planned in the near future, subject to market conditions, one of the banks said in a deal announcement on Monday.

The banks mandated are Barclays, BofA Securities, Commerzbank, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, J.P. Morgan and Societe Generale.
