As of September, salaries of public administration employees will rise by five percent, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski in his address before trade unions in the Skopje-based Army Hall on Monday.

He stressed that the move, accompanied by the recovery from the European debt crisis, as well as the Government's continual economic reforms, would re-introduce prior policies and plans.

"The best social policy is the opening of new jobs. We have always been cautious not to jeopardize private companies and jobs. Let's accelerate the pace, especially in the segment of workers and employment. Workers, their rights, and employment are our priority", said PM Gruevski.

He added the Government is a partner of the business community, but also of trade unions, protecting labor rights.
