(Schenectady, NY) As part of Price Chopper and Market 32 Supermarkets' annual Holiday Toy Drive and in partnership with The Salvation Army, more than 3,000 toys were collected and distributed in communities throughout the company's six-state footprint, including New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Vermont.
"Price Chopper and Market 32 are so proud of this effort to brighten the holidays for youngsters in our community who might otherwise not receive much," said Mona Golub, the chain's vice president of public relations and consumer services. "With so many worthy causes to support during the holiday season, we are grateful to our shoppers and teammates for all they do to help us make the Holiday Toy Drive and Make-A-Wish donation such a success, year after year."
Also, as part of the Holiday Toy Drive, Price Chopper and Market 32 will be making a $2,500 donation to the Make- A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York, an organization that grants the wish of a child with a life threatening illness.
