Fulton County Chairman John H. Eaves will give his annual State of the County address on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia Ballroom.

Chairman Eaves' third State of the County address, presented by the Council for Quality Growth in partnership with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce and the South Fulton Chamber of Commerce, will focus on the theme 'Fulton Forward.'

The remarks will highlight Fulton County's positive progress as a regional leader in achieving goals in six major priority areas:

• All People are Safe
• All People are Healthy
• All People are Self Sufficient
• All People have Economic Opportunities
• All People's Lives are Culturally & Recreationally Enriched
• All People Trust Government is Efficient, Effective and Fiscally Sound

'Fulton County is better than ever,' said Chairman Eaves. 'From the passage of TSPLOST to implementation of justice reform, we are developing real solutions to solve problems our citizens face every day.'

Vice Chair Joan P. Garner, who will introduce Chairman Eaves, added, 'I look forward to joining Chairman Eaves as we update the community on the progress Fulton County is making in service to our citizens. We have made tremendous progress, with many exciting initiatives still to come in 2017.'
